Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the relationship between SIA "Baltik Auto" (Registration No. 40003490175, VAT No. LV40003490175, legal address: Raiņa iela 36-8, Jūrmala, LV-2011, structural unit: autokeys.lv, Registration No. 91437804515, actual address: Jūrkalnes iela 6, Jūrmala, LV-2011) and the Buyer who places an order in the online store autokeys.lv.

1. General provisions

  • These terms apply to all orders placed on autokeys.lv.
  • By placing an order, the Buyer confirms acceptance of these terms.
  • Prices are shown depending on the customer group: including VAT (21%) or excluding VAT (0%) (for B2B EU with a valid VAT number and an approved account).
  • Prices do not include shipping — it is calculated during checkout.
  • All product images on the website are for illustrative purposes.
  • The Buyer undertakes to provide accurate information during checkout.

2. Order

  • Orders are placed online via autokeys.lv.
  • An order is considered accepted after confirmation on the screen and by e-mail.
  • If an item is out of stock, it cannot be ordered on the website.
  • If the provided data is incorrect or the Buyer cannot be contacted, the order may be cancelled.

3. Payment

  • Available payment methods: bank card (VISA/Mastercard), PayPal, online internet banking (depending on the selected country), bank transfer (SEPA/IBAN).
  • Payments are processed via secure payment services.
  • An order is considered paid after funds are received in the Seller’s account.
  • For bank transfers, bank details are shown at order confirmation and are also available in the email and in the order history in the customer account.
  • The Buyer is responsible for the correctness and timeliness of payment.

4. Delivery

  • Latvia — delivery to Latvijas Pasts parcel terminals (usually 1–2 business days).
  • Lithuania and Estonia — delivery to parcel terminals via the UNISEND partner network (usually 2–4 business days).
  • EU countries — delivery via Latvijas Pasts (Express Pasts EU); the cost is calculated at checkout and depends on destination and weight.
  • After dispatch, the Seller sends a tracking number to the Buyer’s e-mail.
  • For parcel terminal deliveries, a notification and PIN code are usually sent by SMS (depending on the operator).

5. Right of withdrawal and return of goods

  • The Buyer (consumer) has the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods.
  • The return of goods is arranged by completing the “Product Return” form on the website.
  • The Buyer must return the goods to the Seller without undue delay, but no later than 14 days from the day of sending the withdrawal notice.
  • The return is carried out at the Buyer’s expense to the address: SIA "Baltik Auto", Jūrkalnes iela 6, Jūrmala, LV-2011.
  • The refund is made using the same payment method after the Seller has received the returned goods and inspected their condition, within the period established by the applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia.
  • The Buyer is responsible for any decrease in the value of the goods if the goods have been used beyond what is necessary to check their nature, characteristics and functioning within the limits permitted for a distance purchase.
  • If the goods are supplied in transparent manufacturer or protective packaging that allows the goods to be inspected and their main external and technical characteristics to be checked without opening the packaging, the Buyer must keep such packaging undamaged, unless opening it is necessary to check the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
  • The Seller has the right to take into account damaged or missing packaging, incomplete set, damage to the goods, signs of use beyond permitted inspection, as well as the unsuitability of the goods for further sale when assessing the condition of the goods and any possible decrease in their value.

5.1. Car keys with electronics, smart keys, circuit boards and transponders

  • Car keys with electronics, smart keys, electronic circuit boards, transponders and similar products are special electronic goods intended for further preparation, programming, data writing, adaptation and/or pairing with a specific vehicle.
  • If a car key, smart key, circuit board or transponder is supplied in transparent packaging that allows the goods to be inspected and their main characteristics to be checked without opening the packaging, opening such packaging without necessity may be taken into account by the Seller when assessing the condition of the goods and any possible decrease in their value.
  • Programming, preparation, data writing, adaptation, pairing with a vehicle, configuration changes, opening the housing, replacing electronic components, incorrect battery polarity, applying external voltage, as well as the use of programming, diagnostic or other equipment may cause full or partial, including irreversible, changes to the electronic state of the goods.
  • Actions that change the electronic state of the goods, their memory, configuration, transponder status, suitability for further writing or other technically significant parameters are not considered ordinary checking of the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
  • If the goods are returned to the Seller in an altered condition compared to their condition at the time of delivery to the Buyer, including after programming, attempted programming, data writing, preparation, adaptation, pairing, opening, interference with the electronic part or other actions exceeding ordinary checking of the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, the Seller has the right to take such changes and the related decrease in the value of the goods into account when considering the return.
  • If the Buyer claims that the goods are unsuitable, non-functional or do not correspond to the stated characteristics after inspection, programming or installation by a third party, the Seller has the right to request a description of the actions performed, vehicle details, information about the equipment used, a written statement from the person or workshop that performed the work if the Buyer refers to their conclusions, as well as the goods themselves for inspection of their condition.
  • If the non-conformity of the goods occurred as a result of incorrect or poor-quality installation, programming, preparation, data writing, diagnostics, use of incompatible equipment, external interference or other actions after the goods were delivered to the Buyer, the Seller is not responsible for such changes, unless otherwise directly provided by the applicable laws and regulations.
  • When considering a claim regarding such goods, the Seller assesses the condition of the goods at the time of return, the presence or absence of signs of changes to the electronic state after delivery to the Buyer, the nature of the claimed defect, the compatibility of the goods with the specified vehicle and system, as well as information about actions performed with the goods after the sale.
  • If the Buyer submits a claim regarding non-conformity of the goods, the Buyer must provide the goods to the Seller for inspection. A verbal reference to a third party’s opinion alone, without providing the goods for inspection, does not prove that the defect existed at the time of delivery of the goods.
  • This section does not limit consumer rights established by the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia. Claims regarding the goods specified in this section are assessed taking into account the nature of the goods, the nature of the claimed defect and the circumstances of use of the goods after their delivery to the Buyer.

6. Dispute resolution

  • All disputes are resolved by negotiation or in the courts of the Republic of Latvia.
  • Complaints are accepted by e-mail: info@autokeys.lv or by post.
  • The Seller provides a written response within 15 business days (unless the law provides otherwise for a specific case).

7. Personal data processing

  • By placing an order, the Buyer agrees to the processing of personal data for order fulfilment.
  • Contact details are used only for order communication and delivery arrangement.
